Before you panic

You may have seen headlines that Russia has sent a humanitarian aid convoy into Eastern Ukraine recently. Predictably it has been accompanied by some panicky, sensationalist headlines suggesting that this may be a pretext for a Russian invasion and OMG IT’S WWIII!

Well, no. This mission seems to have been coordinated with the Red Cross and every faction involved, from Obama to Ukrainian president Poroshenko. If anything dirty is going on, it will probably be the quiet extraction of some of Moscow’s fighters, possibly with their pockets stuffed full of whatever valuables they managed to steal. From the look of the trucks, which belong to the MChS(Ministry of Extreme Situations), it seems that the convoy is pretty much on the level.

The side reads "Humanitarian aid." Personally I would have added "Definitely NOT a military invasion" just in case.

And check out this photo…

Mage casts "protect" on the trucks, which reduces damages from all physical attacks by 50% for the next three turns.

UPDATE: Apparently the Ukrainian government changed its mind about the trucks being allowed to cross the border on their own. At one point they demanded that the trucks be unloaded at the border and the goods reloaded onto presumably Ukrainian trucks. Why the Russian government didn’t decide to just airlift goods to some point far closer to the Ukrainian border is beyond me.
